Can anyone tell me how to restore the door handle antique glass?
I have several door knobs in antique glass. Some Muck has the grooves of the models. I know that the line used by mercury or mirrors to reflect light. I need to know how clean the dirt inside the handle of the door, and how to restore mercury mirrors so that it reflects once more. Are there any something I can use in place of mercury mirrors? The table, perhaps? I can not remove stick, I tried.
I Doornknobs a collection of antique glass that came from a renovated building. You really do not want to remove the dirt inside the knob, and to depreciate. In addition, you can not resilver has been done professionally and, rarely, again because it devalues. You can clean the brass and remove the dust that accumulates around the base of the handle. I use Goop or Gojo, cars cleaner as does a wonderful job removing the grunge, leaving no residue. Mr I also use the base metal in clean metal, like almost all metals and much less work than other cleaners. Use only soft toothbrush in the grooves so that when dry, they are not left with a white residue.
